Buddhist Rap, Online Deliverance

In his previous life, Zhen Yudi was a Buddhist monk devoted to ascetic practice. After following in the footsteps of his predecessors and journeying west to retrieve the scriptures, Zhen Yudi suddenly died of a terrible illness just outside the capital. When he opened his eyes again, he had become an obscure underground singer a thousand years in the future. There was no way he was going to sing. He wouldn't sing even if they beat him to death! Wait, what? He's actually a rapper? If you want to talk to me about chanting sutras, then I'm all ears. A few years later, Zhen Yudi shot to fame overnight and started the trend of Buddhist rap. During an interview, he modestly tugged at his designer kasaya, a custom-made, glittering golden staff resting beside him, and shared his latest plans. "No romance, no love. While I'm raising my disciple, the mic stays off." He smiled gently, as pure and unblemished as snow on green pines. The hip-hop fans in the audience nearly fainted as they shouted, "Brother Yudi, chant for me!" After watching the interview, someone accidentally posted on Weibo: "Not Brother Yudi. He's My Imperial Brother." Couple: Buddhist monk turned rap star x actor who always plays tyrannical emperors. Past and present lives. One is a nobody-bothering, career-focused, thug-life, swaggering imperial brother; the other is a double-standard-ridden, terminal-stage walking ATM of an emperor. Both are equally matched, and they switch.
