Imperial Examination Stories
A big roundup (These are all books I've read. They're generally readable, even if you just skim through them.)
The Amazing Stories That Hit All My Kinks
I read both top and bottom POVs, and these are worth rereading. I prefer nonhuman characters, horror, cultivation, Western fantasy, and sci-fi, with strong couples, mutual devotion, and ensemble casts. Plot over romance
Ones I Quite Like
A list of completed stories I particularly liked and still remember. One possible dealbreaker: I tend to prefer the bottom’s perspective, and generally don’t like stories focused on the top.
Worth Reading Twice
This really hits the spot for me
Farming Fiction
Gentle, slow-burn, heartwarming stories
To Sort
Organizing my favorites
Little Fish’s Handpicked Reads (If It’s Good, It Goes In
I read all sorts of things, but mostly BL. I love feel-good stories with mutual pampering. As long as I'm still reading, I'll keep updating this list!
Omnivorous Reader √
Knock me out and make me read them again
Ensemble-Cast Recommendations
Recommendations. I'll add whatever comes to mind. Includes derivative works, no-CP, BL, and BG, so browse with caution if any of that bothers you.
Stories with Adored Bottoms, My Personal Favorites
I prefer well-rounded bottoms, though I can enjoy a more idealized portrayal too (most bottoms are beautiful, after all). To me, a bottom-focused story means the bottom has a compelling personality and strong abilities.
Drunk on Dreams of the World
Historical danmei about life at court, with lots of romance! I focus on the characters, worldbuilding, and pacing. I don't need much political intrigue, but I can't stand characters acting stupidly. Cat Claw has its own special charm~
BL | Open to All Kinds (Completed Happy-End Stories)
If you don’t read a bit of everything, stay away. This list is an extremely complicated mix with unpredictable preferences, though I’d say I lean toward stories focused on the protagonist. Anything might show up except excessive genderbending of male characters and tops who are weak in bed.
Careers, Professions, and Leveling Up
Career-focused, leveling-up power fantasies.
Books I Love
Books that completely match my tastes, with no dealbreakers at all
A Few Thoughts on Books I Started but Didn't Finish
Four stars across the board, since it's not the books' fault. No recommendations, please! This is just for my personal rambling. Tags like fantasy, futuristic settings, superpowers, infinite-loop stories, and full-dive VR are usually a hard no for me.
Finding Gold in the Abandoned Pits
Just toilet cleaners, all of them are Ruiping.
Blunt Reviews of Every Novel I've Read
Updated regularly, personal opinions only
A Collection of High-Quality Ancient BL Novels with Brilliant Couples and Political Scheming
Keywords: political intrigue / business management / fantasy / world-building / imperial exams / mystery / Republican era / ancient times (Ongoing updates. I'm a tough grader, so three stars is a high score. Good for when you're out of things to read.)
Strong Bottoms / Ordinary-Person Bottoms / Handsome Bottoms / Infinite Flow, and More
No delicate, helpless beautiful bottoms, no overly idealized bottoms. Most of the bottoms have fairly normal personalities. I like snarky bottoms, strong bottoms, short-tempered handsome bottoms, and tops who feel nonhuman or vividly alive.
I've Fallen for Historical Danmei, So Here Are Some Recommendations
There's a rating limit, so the four-star ones are recommendations too!
A Big Reading List for Easy Recommendations
I thought these were all pretty good. I was too lazy to write reviews for some of them, so never mind.
Completed Boys' Love
Beautifully written
Personal Recommendations
Well-written, well-plotted stories I was able to finish
A Personal Reading List for Danmei and No-Romance Omnivores
Just keeping a personal record. I'll add books as I read, and gradually sort in ones I've read before. This list is only for completed books I've bought in full. I read everything, so be warned. Reviews may contain spoilers.

Fortunately, Zhuang Siyi is not the Zhuang Siyi in the first life. It's great. It turns out that we Yanyan are very clearly distinguished. I feel much better. Otherwise, I will be vomited to death!
I'm so happy to see this episode, because it turns out that Yanyan has always been able to distinguish between past and present lives, and he also knows that Zhuang and 41 are two different people.
It's really good after watching it. It would be great if there were more extra chapters 😭
The ending of the past life always feels difficult to reconcile
Qingyan in Kyushu, everything is peaceful
The 41 in the text is a bit pitiful. I thought this extra story was about April 1st in Political History, which is such a pity.
Although he still became the top scholar, it was the first time he saw the protagonist who failed mathematics, physics and chemistry and was moved to tears.
Brother Koukou never deserves to have a name [laughing and crying]
Ahhhh, what an interesting article! ! ! Like! ! !
Looking back a few years later, I still think it was well written.
