Proud for a Lifetime, I'd Rather Be Poison

There is a group of women in this world who are beautiful, clever, and proud... They seem born to be heaven's darlings. They are not delicate princesses, but proud queens. Yet because they loved the wrong person and made the wrong choices, they fell into the abyss. In truth, they didn't do anything wrong. They were simply used to being proud, strong, a little willful, and pampered... So people naturally took the side of the vulnerable, thinking these women didn't need comfort or care. Some even thought they were wicked. But that's not the truth. They just don't want to talk about it. They don't want anyone's pity. They don't want anyone to see through them... If they could start over, they would never chase after someone who didn't love them, never resort to unscrupulous methods, never trust others so easily, and always hold on to their dreams.

I've always liked proud, kind-hearted supporting heroines. They haven't really done much to hurt anyone, perhaps only saying something harsh to a love rival or looking down on the weak, yet in the end they are driven into desperate straits. I hope they can all live happily ever after, at least in my stories. I've also always felt that the heroine's goodness doesn't need proud supporting heroines as a foil. They are queens in their own right, so why should they be stepping stones for someone else? And don't use a supporting heroine's misery to highlight the heroine's happiness. Supporting heroines are people too, with lives of their own.
