A Journey to the West Fanfic: The Pilgrimage Isn't Yours Just Because You Want It

Yan Jue never expected to transmigrate, let alone become an abandoned baby. Still, this time he was lucky enough to be adopted right after birth. But... why was his adoptive parent a monk? And why had his old ailment come with him?

Yan Jue was born with heart and lung function half as strong as an ordinary person's. Because of this, he was abandoned at birth. Fortunately, he grew up in an orphanage and was adopted by a "person." Just when he thought things were finally looking up, he transmigrated???

Yan Jue: Does Heaven really hate me that much?

Since transmigrating, he has grown up from a little child. He is the only frail, fair-skinned monk in the temple; the others are either packed with muscle or look slim when dressed and muscular when stripped. Among all these men, whose average height is over six feet, his baby face makes him stand out. Then pilgrims flock to the temple, and...

Why has the Tang king summoned the monks? Why am I giving a sermon at a religious ceremony? I just explained a Buddhist scripture to you, so how did you turn into Guanyin? What? I'm Tang Sanzang?

Yan Jue: Big White, what are we going to do from here on?

Big White: Woof! (Don't worry, I'm here!)

PS: This is an alternate setting, not a serious retelling. I'll write it however I feel like, and it will be very different from the original. Note: very, very different from the original!!!

Theme: My journey west is up to me.
