Poor Fox Jiu failed her tribulation. After being struck by lightning, she turned into a skinny, sallow little girl in the Republican era.

The little girl fainted from hunger by the roadside and was rescued by the Great Demon King. The Great Demon King was always wielding knives and guns, ready to kill at the slightest disagreement.

So the little fox advised him: "Let's talk things out nicely."

Fox Jiu had finally cultivated a tail, only to discover that she couldn't make it disappear...

The Great Demon King gave the plump, rosy-cheeked little girl he was raising a wicked smile. "...Your Lordship likes this sort of thing!"

Marshal Yi's Version:

The dog in Marshal Yi's household was in a temper and refused to eat its plain rice ball, so a little beggar by the roadside got it for free.

After eating Marshal Yi's plain rice ball, the little beggar earnestly promised to repay his kindness.

Marshal Yi, who loved dogs, discovered that raising a little beggar was much easier than raising his dog.

The little beggar was obedient and never picky about food. Later... she even got herself a fluffy fake tail to please him.

Marshal Yi... transferred his affections and stopped keeping a dog. The furious dog in Marshal Yi's household barked: "Woof! Woof! Woof!"
