You Incompetent Ghost King Husband

In the Heian era, you marry into a wealthy family.

Your husband is a frail, ghostly young nobleman.

The young master is foolish, but undeniably beautiful.

When he refuses to take his medicine, you grab him by the throat and force it down.

When he smashes things, you tie him to the bed.

With red-rimmed eyes, your husband says that one day, he will kill you.

You kiss his beautiful little face and pay him no mind.

You happily look forward to becoming a rich, carefree widow once he dies of his illness.

Until one day, your husband seems to turn into something else entirely.

He grips your throat and pins you to the ground.

[My dear wife... did you enjoy our little games before?]

Your husband has become the "Demon King."

You were scared. You were faking it.

With demons and monsters running rampant through Heian-kyo, when did you ever say you were human?

You come from Oeyama. You are the younger sister of the Demon King Shuten Doji, and a demon by birth.

After giving your husband a thorough dressing-down, you toss a letter of divorce in his face and set off on your travels again.

You meet many new friends.

The great onmyoji, Prince Seimei the white fox; the eldest young master of the western lands, a white dog; the two young masters of the Kamado family...

"My lord! It's terrible! The missus has found herself another man!"

He laughs in fury, and at last corners you on the road one day.

At your side is a tall young man with red flame-shaped markings.

...Then he discovers he can't beat a single one of them.
