2. This story takes place three years after Mr. Chen's Dog-Walking Days. The two books are independent of each other.

3. I sincerely recommend reading Mr. Chen's Dog-Walking Days first, then deciding whether to read this one. Or, if you read this one, don't read Mr. Chen's Dog-Walking Days.

Because if you read Mr. Fu first and then go on to Mr. Chen's Dog-Walking Days, the following might happen: you may come to like Fu Junzhuo in this story, but then discover that the Fu Junzhuo from three years earlier is a disillusioning, completely different person, and want to slap him dead. It might put you in a bad mood.

Fu Junzhuo used to be arrogant and domineering. Now he's so quiet he might as well be buried. Living with depression, he's like a dead salted fish with no dreams, slowly rotting away in a dark corner.

Gu Zhou is a tall, long-legged puppy. His dorm bed is too cramped, so he wants a bigger one and moves house.

The two end up living under the same roof: when a puppy meets a dead salted fish.

Gu Zhou: "S-Senior! Taking the turtle for a walk?"

Gu Zhou: "Senior! Look at this succulent! It's so plump and cute!"

Gu Zhou: "Senior... could you... hand me my underwear..."
