The General and the Widow

Lan Gu is the prettiest woman in the village, fair-skinned and graceful. The only trouble is, she's a widow with a child in tow. The unmarried men in the village secretly covet her, and are always finding excuses to loiter outside her door.

They say a widow's doorway invites gossip. Though Lan Gu keeps herself respectable, she can't escape the rumors. People say she's unfaithful and keeps lovers, leaving her fuming with indignation.

On Qingming Festival, as she went to sweep her late husband's grave, Lan Gu found an unconscious man with terrible injuries. Her kind heart moved her to bring him home and nurse him back to health. Now the whole village was whispering about her behind her back more than ever.

Lan Gu was even more upset. Rather than be slandered for nothing, she decided she might as well keep this man, and make him her son's stepfather, too!

From then on, she began showering him with flirtatious glances and every kind of attention.

Huo Yu is a young general of the Northern Kingdom, renowned for his military exploits. But when the woman he loves and his trusted aide conspire to betray him, he nearly loses his life. A country widow saves him.

He is not yet twenty, but already mature, steady, and dignified. Still, he can't help being a little cocky inside. Though the widow has designs on him, he remains polite and courteous on the surface, refusing her without a hint of emotion, while inwardly looking down on her.

But he is a young man in his prime, and she is a widow full of feminine charm. Living together day and night, it is only natural that they develop feelings for each other.

At first, Huo Yu means to treat it as a fleeting affair. Once he returns to the capital, they will go their separate ways. After all, he can't marry a widow who has already been married and has a child. Even taking her as a concubine would be utterly absurd.

But he never expected that the woman would be the first to say they should part ways. She gave two reasons:

I thought you were just an ordinary man. I never imagined you were a great general. A humble woman like me could never aspire to you.

I thought you were in your twenties, but I never knew you were so young. Forgive me. This old cow really was eating young grass.

Then she suggested they never see each other again.

For some reason, in that moment, he felt an indescribable sense of grievance.

Coming soon: Dancing with the Devil (Vampires)

Vampires are evil creatures without hearts who fear sunlight. Their lives are long and dull, and they desire nothing so much as blood. To them, humans are merely food. Most vampires bare their fangs only at night, delighting in the thrill of hunting and killing their prey.

Yuleya Lennox is unlike other vampires. As the progenitor of all vampires, he does not fear sunlight. He has no heart and no desires. In his eternal life, the only sensation he knows is hunger.

He chooses to feed only when he is hungry.

Until he meets her. Her fragrant, sweet taste awakens a burning desire in him: he wants to drag her into the abyss and make her bloom in that endless darkness, never to wither, existing only for him to taste and toy with.

Yet even after he has her, he is still unsatisfied. It seems an even deeper desire is winding itself around him. What is it?

What is her name? Bellice Haite. As he murmurs her name, his long-stilled heart suddenly gives an unfamiliar throb.

An evil, alluring vampire progenitor and an innocent, harmless, kind-hearted nun
