The Tale of Lan Ling

Ye Shanglan: The top disciple of Zhu Jin, junior sister to the head of the Zhijiang Sect. Gifted and diligent, she bears the important duty of vanquishing demons and carries the Star-Cloaked Divine Sword as she roams the martial world, only to fall at Cheng Ling'er's hands.

Cheng Ling'er: The only daughter of Cheng Feng, junior brother to the head of the Zhijiang Sect. The sect's beloved second senior sister has adored the stern, unsmiling Ye Shanglan since childhood.

Cheng Ling'er: Can't you stop carrying that piece of junk sword on your back?

Ye Shanglan: It's the divine sword my master gave me, not a piece of junk.

Cheng Ling'er: I don't care! Throw it away!

Ye Shanglan: Why?

Cheng Ling'er: When you carry it like that, it's uncomfortable for me to hug you from behind.

Ye Shanglan: You can hug me from the front.

Cheng Ling'er: Then you can't carry me on your back!

Ye Shanglan: I can carry you in my arms.

Cheng Ling'er: You love it more than me! You're so much nicer to it than you are to me!

Ye Shanglan: ...A sword isn't like your cloth. It needs to be wiped down regularly.

Cheng Ling'er: It's not cloth! It's the Golden Bell Silk my mother left me!

Ye Shanglan: It works pretty well for wiping a sword.

Cheng Ling'er: Don't even think about coming into my room tonight!

Ye Shanglan: Then don't go back either. We can make do here in the woods for the night.

Cheng Ling'er: You're such a lecher!

Ye Shanglan: Did I say anything wrong?

It's just a story about childhood sweethearts who fall in love. The setting is a martial arts world, but my writing isn't good enough for fight scenes or schemes and conspiracies. The whole story is basically just romance!
