What's for Dinner at the Hatsufuyu Household Today?

Chudong runs a little restaurant for nonhumans in a foreign country. In this multicultural nation, her customers come from every corner of the world. There's the archangel who likes to stop in for a drink after work, and whose wings have been shedding a little lately because of stress; the Third Prince of the North Sea Dragon King, studying abroad in the Atlantic and suffering from homesickness and a loss of appetite; the indigenous druid who often turns into a bear or a moose to deliver honey; the shut-in mage who always sends an owl familiar to pick up takeout; the mummy who likes to come by for coffee on weekend afternoons; the stunning vampire who runs a local winery; the Inari fox who adores tofu-puff soup; and more... Life at the little restaurant is peaceful and cozy, until one day Chudong accidentally summons a demon drawn by the smell while making chicken soup in the kitchen. - After sleeping for a thousand years, Beelzebub, the great demon of Gluttony and one of the Seven Princes of Hell, hears a voice from the human world for the first time. But instead of the grand feast of three thousand blood sacrifices that once greeted him, he finds a human standing there with a soup ladle, looking utterly bewildered. Beelzebub: "..." Fine. He wants to see just how delicious a meal the first human to whet his appetite in a thousand years can make. #A case of instant devotion coming right up# #After adopting a demon, there are never any leftovers in the restaurant again# Reader's Guide: * Stories from a little restaurant for nonhumans, with lots of nonhuman characters to adore, especially demons w * A greedy demon who falls in love with food at first bite every day x a gentle little chef who loves cooking
