Inuyasha: I Do Love You

I spent several days thinking and trying to work out the plot. In the end, I came up with the least likely way to mess up Sesshomaru: have them be childhood friends and grow up together. So the one who shares a deep, devoted love with him is Kikyo, while the childhood friend is Sesshomaru. To keep from messing things up, I'll give a brief description of Sesshomaru. If all else fails, I can write it as a flashback in the main story. Ohohoho! As expected, I still prefer Inuyasha and Kikyo together, hehe.
