I'm Here. Are You Scared?

I'd like to recommend the historical romance Monkey is currently updating, [Fourth Miss's Style Always Goes Astray].

I am a fixer in S City, but a seemingly minor case involving a missing child draws me into a much deeper mystery. My friends and I follow the clues, peeling back layer after layer of fog. Along the way, I also uncover secrets about myself that I never knew. But are they memories from a past life, or an even deeper trap?

Heaven and earth abide by unchanging laws, and all beings in the Six Paths follow them. Those who defy these laws will surely be punished by Heaven.

Who am I?

I am an emissary who has come from the Avici Hell, a rakshasa walking among mortals. I carry out Heaven's will, but I am also searching for an answer: Is human love greater than the Way of Heaven?

The Lotus Sutra mentions the Ten Rakshasi Daughters. They were originally demons who harmed people, but after being moved by the Buddha's teachings, they converted to Buddhism and became guardian deities who protect those who uphold the Lotus Sutra. Another account says that rakshasas are jailers in hell, tasked with punishing sinners.

Please don't nitpick the research. The author knows very little about religion and culture...
