A Question Without an Answer

His close friend, the divine beast Bai Ze named Shu Ye, asked him three times, "Do you regret it?" All three times, his answer was the same: "I do not."

Regret could have a place in Xie Xian's life, but it would never be regret in the true sense. Those two words should have no place in anyone's life.

She smiled softly. "So it shouldn't happen, rather than it can't happen..."

Do you regret it?

The only thing I regret in this life... is that I used these hands to send her into a place of eternal torment. I failed her with all my heart, and lost everything with this body. Xuan He, in that unrelenting hatred of yours, is there a part of it that I gave you?

Pi Hexagram: Qian above and Kun below make Pi. Qian represents Heaven, and Kun represents Earth. Earth receives the light and warmth from Heaven and gives all things the means to grow, but everything on Earth must follow Heaven's changes and remain under its control. This hexagram represents a dark period in which peace turns to chaos, openness turns to obstruction, and petty men gain power while the virtuous lose it. In the Pi Hexagram, the clear heavens are above and the murky earth below. The energies of Heaven and Earth do not mingle, also foreshadowing a fate of gazing at each other from afar, yearning without fulfillment, and ultimately parting and missing one another.
