[JX3] The Walking Corpse

The silver knife in his hand cut into his beloved's corpse. A bright but gentle light was buried inside her, like a star falling from the sky.

He straightened her collar and looked at her serene, gentle face, unable to help thinking of what she had said.

She said she would come back, and when she did, she could stay by his side forever.

He couldn't help laughing. She had been right. She had indeed come back.

But she would never speak to him again, never smile at him again, never follow him around and look at him with eyes full of love.

...This was enough. He could ask for no more.

He kissed her forehead and whispered in his heart, Ku Fan, we will never be apart again.
