Slaughter for Money

They say the marketplace is a battlefield. The only difference is that on the battlefield, people are killed; in the marketplace, money is slaughtered. This is the story of a financial trader who transmigrates back to ancient times, speculates in copper cash, opens a bank, joins forces with sixteen money shops to issue paper money, and, after several dramatic rises and falls, becomes a notorious merchant. Reading guide: 1. A female-led novel about ancient finance. It may lean a little toward realism and is not a typical wish-fulfillment story. The author promises that the plot and characters will make sense and won't insult readers' intelligence. Readers who've seen it have also said the storyline is quite compelling. 2. There is a romance, and the male characters are more than just background decoration. 3. Set in an alternate history, drawing mainly on the Northern Song Dynasty. The historical setting is very loose, so please don't scrutinize it; it won't stand up to close examination. 4. The author loves foreshadowing and twists. The characters grow and change with time and experience, so please don't rush to judgment before the ending. Everyone is welcome here. Shopkeepers, feel free to leave praise or complaints, or give it a low rating. Happy reading! Most likely, my next novel will be The Litigator, a completely new kind of ancient legal drama you've never read before. I might instead write the easy, brainless Love Beside the Bed, a melodramatic romance novella where "the male lead only loses his life, while the female lead loses her love." If either sounds interesting, please add it to your to-read list. Thanks! And if you have a moment, could you visit my profile and follow me? Thanks again!
