Pretending to Be a Cat in the Entertainment Industry

Feng Yuebai's greatest hobby in life is shipping couples. Of all the couples he ships, the one that leaves him most heartbroken is "Bai Nian Hao He," the pairing of movie star Lu Bai and love-song king Lan Qinghe. Ever since the two shared a kissing scene in a film seven years ago, they caused a huge uproar in the BL fandom. Since then, they have had no further interaction. Seven years later, fans of Bai and He still can't stop thinking about their pairing. They firmly believe the two are in true love and are waiting desperately for an answer. Feng Yuebai is one of them. After dying in an accident, Feng Yuebai becomes a stray cat. One day, a slender, fair hand reaches out and scratches under his chin. Just as Feng Yuebai is about to give a friendly passerby his usual ingratiating meow, he lifts his head and comes face-to-face with a stunningly beautiful visage. Damn, it's such a waste of that face if he doesn't get into acting! Could you please do more than just sing, baby? Lan Qinghe: ... This cat actually cried when it saw me. Hmm, maybe we're destined to meet. And so Feng Yuebai goes from being a stray kitty to becoming the beloved pet of the king of singers overnight. Feng Yuebai: I'm having the time of my life shipping them! I, your humble subject, will follow the two sovereigns to the death! Feng Yuebai's official pairing: How can I get this cat to look at me more, instead of staring only at those two nuisances? Two couples: the main couple is Bai and He, and the secondary couple is the protagonist and his top. Synopsis written on 2025-08-29. Also posted on Weibo.
