Friday's Favorite

After a plane crash left her stranded on a deserted island for five years, the news coverage of her survival eventually faded. Qiao Chu was left unable to find work, robbed of her parents' inheritance, cut off from her friends, and subjected to gossip about her child of unknown origins. With a wealth of wilderness survival skills and nowhere to use them, she had run out of supplies, so Qiao Chu wrote a memoir about her five years on the island. To her surprise, it became an overnight sensation! But when her serialized novel Love on a Deserted Island finished, the comments weren't focused on the island's amazing wildlife or Qiao Chu's survival skills. Instead, they were full of comments like these: "Oh my god, Friday is so dreamy!" "Mom, I want to have Friday's babies!" "Is there really someone named Friday?" "I bet if someone like Friday were based on a real person, I'd livestream myself eating shit!" Six months later. Qiao Chu: To the person who said they'd livestream themselves eating shit, come on out~ Readers: ...Author, your secret identity has been exposed. You are my Mr. Friday. [Note] Some of the adventure scenes in this story were inspired by episodes 9-11 of Season 1, "Gateway to Paradise: Mount Marum," and episodes 8-9 of Season 2, "Attu Island," of the documentary On the Road.
