Life, Death, or the Choice Between

[A possible fanfic inspired by Bohr/Heisenberg] "So, Niels, who have you placed at the center of the universe? Yourself, or Heisenberg? If Heisenberg is at the center of the universe, then the tiny part of the universe he cannot see is himself." "If Bohr is an electron wandering in the dark, then I am the photon sent to find him. When I shine on him and touch him, he stops, turns aside, and looks at me." "You stopped too, and looked at me." "I came for you, sir." "An inevitable disturbance." "Yes, an inevitable disturbance." When he loved him, he couldn't understand what it was, or where it would ultimately lead. This was the other thing, besides quantum theory, that Werner Heisenberg never understood throughout his life. Because he was at the center of that maelstrom, he could not see himself. [This story contains many assumptions, fabrications, flights of fancy, and wild inventions. In other words, it's a novel, after all. Just take it as it comes.]
