[Hunter X Hunter] Go Broke If You Don't Date

If everyone has to believe in something, Illumi is surely the most faithful follower of the God of Wealth.

Until one day, he picked up a boy who claimed to be the God of Wealth.

Yuris: "Want to date me? If you turn me down, you'll go bankrupt."

Illumi turned and walked away, ignoring him. The next second, his phone rang: the bank was notifying him that a large sum of money was being withdrawn from his account for charity.

Yuris: "I'll give you a hundred million Jenny on the first day we're dating, two hundred million on the second day, and keep adding the same amount for each passing day. So, will you date me?"

Illumi: "Sure. Transfer the first hundred million to my account."

Later...

Illumi brought Yuris back to Kukuroo Mountain to meet his family.

He bragged to Yuris, "My younger brothers all love me very much."

Yuris burst out laughing. "But I can hear their thoughts. They all hate you."

The younger brothers' eyes went wide. Where did this mind-reading weirdo come from?

Illumi remained calm. "No, you must have misheard. My brothers couldn't possibly hate me."

The younger brothers stared blankly. Their big brother was just as infuriatingly confident as ever.

Yuris said with pity, "Poor Illumi. You can't accept the truth that nobody loves you except me?"

Illumi: "..."

The younger brothers: "..."

--Having a sister-in-law like this might not be so bad?

Later, Yuris decided that a relationship that needed money to keep it going wasn't pure enough, so he planned to find someone else to date.

Illumi, who had always been the type to take money in but never let it out, said, "I'll give you a hundred million. Come back to me."

Yuris gave him a disdainful look. "Just a hundred million?"

Illumi: "A hundred million and one Jenny."

Yuris: "..."

--Good. The cheapskate persona remains intact.
