When Fushiguro Tamayura was nineteen, she performed on the street, singing and playing "Love So Sudden."
A black-haired young man she didn't know sat crouched on the same street, watching her listlessly all day. After her performance, she treated him to eel rice. At the time, she had no idea that one day she would write love songs for him for the rest of her life.
When Zenin Toji was eighteen, he left the Zenin clan. With nowhere to go and nothing to do, he sat by the roadside staring blankly into space, until the voice of a street singer caught his attention. He took a closer look and realized the singer was the idiot who had mistaken him for someone about to jump into the river the night before and given him all her money.
They say the name Tamayura means a glimmer of happiness. The moment Tamayura was reflected in Zenin Toji's eyes, he experienced happiness for the first time in his life.
On the last day of 1995, a band called "Wild Rose" burst onto the scene.
The band's lead singer and spirit was hailed as "the songstress of the end of the century." Like a meteor streaking across the night sky, she was dazzling, but her time was all too brief.
Rumor had it that in the ten years since her debut, she had written over a thousand songs, half of them keepsakes for someone important to her.
"Every year, on your birthday, I'll sing you a love song. So come see me after you've heard them all."
"...Don't you think that's far too cruel to me, Tamayura?"
How to enjoy this story:
1. The character designs on the cover were drawn by my amazing friends @Z and @WhatShouldI DrawToday. The styles are pretty different, but both are gorgeous! Hugs and kisses to my friends! You can see more character designs in the character showcase section on my page. Come take a look!
2. The heroine is the lead singer and songwriter of a band, so the author may occasionally write some awkward lyrics (...help, my toes are starting to dig out a castle). If they're awkward enough to make you cringe, I'm sorry. I'll lie flat and take whatever criticism comes my way.
3. I don't follow celebrities or work in the entertainment industry, and I know very, very, very little about Japanese entertainment. All I can do is write my own version of a fictional Japanese entertainment industry. If you know more, please feel free to share friendly explanations in the comments. XOXO~
4. The main story has a bad ending. The romance is complete and sweet, but Tamayura dies young. The extra chapters will have a happy-ending route.
5. The logic is dead and the characters may be OOC. Feel free to criticize or leave, but please don't attack anyone personally. Let's keep the comments civil and build a harmonious comment section. Thank you all.
6. Please follow the author's page~ Mwah!
