The Bauhinia Blossoms

The story is set just as Kurapika is about to face off against every member of the Phantom Troupe.

The violet magnolia is the clan flower of the Kuruta Clan (I made that up, so don't take it seriously). Legend says that when the last blood descendant of the Kuruta Clan is in danger, the spirit of the violet magnolia will appear.

When the violet magnolia's tears are gone from the world, the Tearstone appears, and the spirit vanishes.

The Flower Palace has finally welcomed the most beautiful flower spirit in its history, but...

She never knew what her mission was. Only after shedding her final tear did she realize she had been born for that clan, and had survived to make amends for what the spirit of the violet magnolia had done.

In the end, she gave up eternal life and chose to live forever in the season when the violet magnolias bloom.

Whenever the violet magnolias bloom, he seems to see that beautiful, gentle smile...
