Desperate Love

Beneath the boundless azure sea lies a peaceful, beautiful world. It nurtures all the world's blessings and is the source and cradle of life. This is the Sea Kingdom, a magnificent realm whose existence humanity knows nothing of, yet depends on for survival.

On the night of Shuiyun's eighteenth birthday, amid a storm-tossed sea, she saved Xiao Se, the prince of the Wind Kingdom, who was born on the very same day. The two pledged themselves to each other, and Shuiyun gave Xiao Se a jade flute from the sea as a token of their love.

For Xiao Se, Shuiyun resolutely abandoned her status as heir to the Sea Kingdom. In exchange for a pair of long, slender human legs, she gave up her beautiful voice and her supernatural powers. Apart from her former memories and her mother tongue, she was like a newborn infant, a blank slate.

Xiao Se did not recognize that the orphan girl he had brought back from the seaside was the one he had pined for day and night. Even so, he could not help falling in love with this clever, spirited young woman.

When Shuiyun was seven months pregnant, Yan Wu, the princess of the Fire Kingdom, brought her and Xiao Se's token of love and claimed that she had already pledged herself to Xiao Se. She demanded that he honor his promise and marry her.

After sorting out his feelings, Xiao Se confronted Yan Wu. But while he was away, summoned by the king of the Wind Kingdom, Yan Wu pushed Shuiyun down a waterfall. Huale and Yinlin arrived in time to save Xiao Se and Shuiyun, but the child was born prematurely.

Can Xiao Se accept that the person he loves, Xing Tian Xiao Ye, is not human but belongs to another race? And when Shuiyun pushes open the doors of the wedding hall, what kind of monstrous waves will she set in motion? The union of a prince and a princess should be the most beautiful ending of all, but will the world bless this love between two different races? ...
