A note for those who have read volumes one and two of A Thousand Years of Tears: the changes aren't very extensive. (I thought I'd end up changing a lot, but then found I couldn't bring myself to. The main changes are in volume one, where the heroine meets Shang and Zhuoga, and in toning down the traces of Dream of the Red Chamber in volume two as much as possible.) If you've already read it, please don't jump back in, since reading 600,000 characters is quite a project.

(I don't know how to write from the male characters' point of view, so you'll have to guess what the male lead and the other men are thinking along with the heroine.)
