[Mouse and Cat, Modern] If I Could, Please Let Me Love You

Everyone entered the main hall. With the reporters and camera flashes gone, the room immediately grew quiet. Several groups of people stood around the buffet tables. Zhao Zong and Bao Zheng greeted people as they picked up their glasses... Rather than an opening ceremony, it felt more like a private dinner party. “Ahem... Hello, everyone. I'm Lu Fang. Welcome to the opening ceremony of our ‘Trap Sky Island’...” “Pfft...” Zhao Zong choked and sprayed out his drink. He looked up awkwardly, only to see that quite a few people were just as astonished as he was. As if he'd expected this reaction, Lu Fang continued, “We left it off the invitations on purpose, to surprise you all. Now let me introduce the heads of our departments. First, the head of marketing, Pao Wang...” Seeing Pao Wang standing perfectly still beside Zhao Lu, Lu Fang spoke into the microphone. “Pao Wang, please come up and meet everyone. It'll only take a few minutes... Though he's officially changed his name to Han Zhang now. The head of security is Ye Tianxing, also known as Xu Qing. The head of planning is Xiao Ai, though from today on, he'll be called Jiang Ping. And finally, our CEO, Bai Yutang. That's his real name. As for me, I'll be chairman of Trap Sky Island...” At Lu Fang's introduction, the four men took the stage. The five of them, each with their own distinctive presence, made quite an impressive sight together. Someone jokingly called out, “Why did you choose names from The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants?” Bai Yutang smiled. “I just thought that in a city with Bao Zheng, Gongsun Ce, Zhan Zhao, Wang Chao and Ma Han, Zhang Long and Zhao Hu, it would be nice to have a Trap Sky Island too...” Following Bai Yutang's words, everyone could see a full cast of Kaifeng City right before them. They hadn't noticed it before, but now that he'd pointed it out, they really did feel like the Seven of Kaifeng... Jiang Ping said, “I can't speak for anything else, but we'll definitely be the most handsome Five Rats in history... You have to admit, in the original story, apart from the Jade-Faced Rat, the other four rats weren't much to look at.” Jiang Ping's remark made everyone laugh. After the brief introductions, Zhao Zong gave a short speech, followed by time for everyone to mingle. Zhao Zong said gleefully, “Qingtian, what are you going to do about this group from Trap Sky Island, who are both friends and foes? Their backgrounds and identities must be nothing but complicated.” Bao Zheng said solemnly, “Their files look fine for now, but if we uncover any illegal activity...” This is one of Witch's early works, full of melodrama and outrageous twists.
