Snowy Dusk over the Kunlun Mountains

Serious description: What is fate? For Ruan An, fate is the vermilion mole that came into view when he looked up during his apprenticeship ceremony. Yin Yan says fate is merely the ink brush in one's own hand. For Baili Zhishui, the moment he received the fragment of the Kongming Formula, he was destined for a lifetime of loneliness and wandering. Ye Shu refuses to believe in fate, yet beneath that moon, he catches a fleeting glimpse of someone and gets drawn into a game of chess, becoming a pawn on the board. He refuses to be a pawn, but is fated to struggle in vain against the affairs of the nation, the realm, the martial world, and the imperial court. The imperial court, the Valley of Evil, the Righteous Alliance: what is justice, what is faith, what is love, and why do we fight and kill in this life? Plain-language description: A story about a scumbag wolf and a black sheep who love each other and fight each other. [Set in the world of Jian Wang 3, with an almost entirely original story. You don't need to know the game to read this, so feel free to give it a try.]
