Turning the Tides

"You are a rainstorm that comes and goes, leaving my world perpetually damp." 1. Shi Nansheng and Lu Xingchuan were classmates, born on the same day of the same month in the same year. On the night of their eighteenth birthday, Shi Nansheng, left homeless on the streets, was taken home by Lu Xingchuan. They spent a sleepless night together. The next day, Shi Nansheng vanished without a trace, leaving Lu Xingchuan with nothing but a false hope. Six years later, on that very same day, they met again after a long separation, and both had become almost unrecognizable. Shi Nansheng had gone from a cool, aloof campus beauty to someone cherished in another’s palm, while Lu Xingchuan had gone from a poor campus heartthrob to a popular idol. Knowing she was cold and unfeeling, Lu Xingchuan still fought tooth and nail to make her his. But the good times didn’t last. Shi Nansheng abandoned him once again, taking with her the two million he had lent her. 2. "Lu Xingchuan, when all is said and done, you hate me because I don’t love you enough. You’re like a needy, greedy little puppy, hoping to get all your owner’s love. But I can only give you this much. Do you want it or not?" "...I want it." "Come here. Let me hold you." "I hope fate never finds us, and that we can live out our lives in peace and quiet." Tips: 1. A fickle woman vs. a devoted man. They start by making love and end up hating each other. 2. Old-school melodrama. Bring your own warning signs. Theme: Devotion is always troubled by fickleness.
