Green Day [Entertainment Industry]

Ruan Yu and Chi Zhou grew up together, raised overseas from childhood. When they were fifteen, they "eloped" back to China and joined an entertainment company as trainees. Ruan Yu dreamed of becoming a band's lead singer, while Chi Zhou was determined to win a Best Actor award before turning thirty. During the summer break of their second year of high school, the two were chosen to co-star as the male leads in the campus web series Summer's Fruit. A year later, the low-budget series became an unexpected hit, and its two stars shot to fame. Fans went wild shipping them. Sadly, Ruan Yu had already left the entertainment industry after filming wrapped. He vanished without a trace, and no one heard from him again. Rumors ran rampant online. Some said the company had blacklisted him, others claimed he was being kept by a certain award-winning actor, and some even said he was suspected of murder and had fled overseas to escape the law. The fans were heartbroken: old sugary moments are like arsenic, sweet enough to hurt. But no one was hurting more than Chi Zhou. Defying his company's objections, he gave up acting and formed a four-member band. After years of grueling effort, the band only grew more obscure. The fame they'd won overnight gradually faded, and the once highly anticipated "monster rookie" became a nobody in the industry. Just as a band member's scandal threatened to break up the group, Ruan Yu returned after five years away. "Ruan Yu, after you left, I became less and less like myself. Come back and give me back the person I used to be." Tips: 1. The title is taken from the American band Green Day. 2. I'm in the queue, please add this to your collection. Theme: Have a healthy attitude toward celebrity fandom
