Don't Go (Hunter X Hunter + Birthday Fic)

Dedicated to Xiao Sha.

After two months of preparation, laying the groundwork, and researching, I finally finished writing this. I'm very late, but I still want to wish you a happy birthday, Xiao Sha.

When Xiaomi first went missing, I was already thinking of writing you a story with Xiaomi as one of the main characters. Since your birthday was coming up, I thought, why not write about your favorite, Illumi? But then all my deadlines piled up at once, and in the end I couldn't finish it in time for your birthday. Then I put it off for another two months. I'm truly sorry.

At first, I wanted to give this story a happy ending, but in the end I decided that kind of ending didn't suit Illumi at all, so I gave up on it and went with a bad ending instead. I have to say sorry again. This was supposed to be a happy birthday story, but I turned it into a bad ending. Still, I hope you'll like it.

As for the ending, I wrote it that way on purpose.

Xiaomi never came back.

The real Xiaomi never came back, either.

This became an open ending. Whether in real life or in this story, everything is left to your imagination.

I don't think there's anything else to say, so I'll leave it at that.

Wishing you sweet dreams.

That's all.
