The Apocalypse Invades

[My new story, I Heard I Saved the World, is now underway. Visit my author page to find it, and please add it to your collection.] Strange phenomena appear in the sky, and aliens invade. Fu Shiwu, an office worker and homebody, is nearly brought to his knees by the sudden upheaval of the apocalypse. Luckily, his strong and versatile neighbor Tang Xuhai takes him along as they flee. But who could have guessed that halfway through their escape, they'd discover this iron-willed man has a steel plate in his body? He's an injured patient through and through, and now he's fallen ill with a fever. To save him, the physically helpless career elite Fu Shiwu has no choice but to grit his teeth and take on the aliens alone... In this post-apocalyptic world, people use every trick in the book to survive: brains, brawn, and powerful connections! And to fight over resources and recruit talent, they show off their character, their integrity, and their shamelessness! Fu Shiwu and Tang Xuhai's team modestly declare that they possess all of the above virtues. No one is reborn, no one transmigrates, and there's no System, yet the golden finger is still wide open and the fun never stops! The bottom is rather weak early on, so please stick with it through Chapter 16 before deciding whether to continue. [Mini-scene] Fu Shiwu and Tang Xuhai are familiar strangers who can't stand each other. As the apocalypse unfolds and the world is turned upside down, their impressions of each other gradually change through a series of fateful encounters. Seven days Fu Shiwu: Big boobs, no brains! Tang Xuhai: Someone I'd trust with my life. After that Fu Shiwu: ...You beast. Tang Xuhai: ... (pounces) Theme:
