[Yu-Gi-Oh! DM] Before the First Light of Dawn (Bakura X King)

"I thought the Demon King being reduced to dust after the Hero defeated him was one of the standard endings in most RPGs. By the rules of the Shadow Game, you shouldn't still be alive."

"Rules?" The other person burst out laughing, as if amused. "Before that, you overlooked the more obvious question: what were you trying to find in this Shadow Game in the first place, and what exactly is sealed inside your Millennium Puzzle? Just your memories? You were trapped inside that puzzle for three thousand years for the sake of fewer than twenty years of insignificant human memories, until your useless vessel rescued you and sent you back to the underworld? How utterly boring."

A short, murderous-not-romantic Bakura x Yami Bakura story, faithful to the original. Maybe it'll be a prologue to my next story.
