[Douluo Dalu] Longing on the Strings

“You asked what I wish for?”

The young man smiled faintly, his eyes seeming to hold a myriad of stars.

“...Maybe to become stronger.”

“To survive, become stronger, and then... take a good look at this world.”

“Would you come with me, Tang San?”

Content warnings:

1. The main pairing is Tang San x Ji Bingye. The main side pairings are Dai Mubai x Ning Che and Qian Renxue x Xiao Wu. The characters' personalities and histories have all been adjusted to some extent, and the story does not follow the original completely.

2. My writing skills are limited, so I removed an important subplot. As a result, some plot points and characters in this story will serve mainly as tools. The removed subplot's setting will be released later as a bonus chapter.

3. Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong are not among the Seven Shrek Monsters. They will appear in the background to round out the story, but both will find happy endings.

4. This is not a purely sweet story. If you can't handle angst, let's part on good terms. I can promise, though, that it will have a perfectly happy ending.

5. I've painfully realized that this story's scope is too ambitious. With my current writing skills, even after removing an important subplot, it'll be difficult to carry on, especially in the latter half when all the plot threads need to come together. So I'll come back and try to finish this story after completing the two relatively simpler alternate-universe storylines I'm writing next door. In the meantime, I may revise the story from time to time.

6. A correction to the protagonist's name: his current name makes more sense.

Theme: Even when trapped in an abyss, you can still find the sun that belongs to you.
