The second installment in the RHUMA Memoirs Trilogy, which depicts conflicts among historical European figures in the afterlife, following The Wings of Aether: Portraits in Two Mirrors continues the previous novel's world and character settings.
One is a nouveau riche businessman with the status of a nobleman in Paris; the other, once a street wanderer, remains dependent on others even after becoming famous as a citizen of Geneva.
Though both were leaders of the Enlightenment, Voltaire and Rousseau are bound by a dark fate.
Prejudice, misunderstanding, and cruel twists of fate continue to mount when the two meet after death and wage a cold war... Must it all end in regret?
The title pays tribute to Henri Gouhier's book Rousseau and Voltaire: Portraits in Two Mirrors.
