[Criminal Minds Fan Fiction] The Asylum Beneath the Blue Sky

Did you know that around one million people worldwide die by suicide each year? That means an average of one person takes their own life every 41 seconds, a total that exceeds the combined annual death toll from murder and war. This proves that most people suffer, to some degree, from a psychological or mental illness. In a sense, the world beneath the sky we live under is one vast madhouse, and we are all the lunatics locked inside it.

Spencer Reid

An FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit profiler, a genius with a doctorate and an IQ of 187. Socially inept, sensitive, and shy, he is a potential schizophrenic.

Valefor Viaras

A nominal BAU forensic pathologist under FBI surveillance, a genius in life sciences and virology with an IQ of 128. Her emotional intelligence remains to be seen, and she is highly vigilant. She is a potential serial killer.

This is a story about two people who are both a little extreme.

"Sometimes I wonder: am I the one who's crazy, or is everyone else?"

--Albert Einstein
