The Greatest Pot in the World

One day, in some year of some dynasty, someone was passing through the mountains.

Suddenly, another person jumped out, stood in the middle of the road with a blade across it, and shouted, "I have no life to spare, but I've got money to take!"

The passerby was startled and shouted, "I built this road and planted these trees. If you want to pass through here, you just have to pay up!"

The burly man studied him for a moment, then shouted, "Spring sleep, unaware of dawn; birds fly everywhere! I am Bird-Flying-About, the number one basin in the great rivers and lakes!"

The passerby said, "Isn't that character pronounced 'thief'?"
