Subtitle: The King of Hell's Writ. Ye Mu couldn't dodge in time. Kui Yin charged straight at him, sending his fear level through the roof.
At the last possible moment, Bing Shuo appeared. He blocked the attack and immediately countered, sending Kui Yin flying into a coffin and smashing it to pieces.
Bing Shuo's handsome face was expressionless, a heavy, chilling aura surrounding him. His eyes were icy. "Anyone who dares hurt him will be eliminated!"
The huge tomb bricks couldn't withstand the shaking and came loose, crashing down. Ye Mu's pupils contracted, and his whole body stiffened against his will. He Du: Master, watch out! Bing Shuo decisively scooped Ye Mu into his arms and dodged to the side. The boulder just grazed the edge of his ancient robe before crashing heavily into the spot where he'd been standing, smashing the floor tiles beneath it.
Bing Shuo: As long as I'm here, no one will lay a finger on you!
Ye Mu: I know, but I'm not weak either. You can protect me, and I can protect you.
Our hearts are in sync. It doesn't matter who is stronger, because we love each other as equals.
CP: Don't miss out! This indispensable human-shaped weapon for home and travel suffers from skin hunger, is always asking for hugs, and clings to the shou: a cold, aloof gong x a clever, quick-witted reborn shou.
Note: This story is all nonsense, and my writing skills are limited. Research buffs, stay away, and don't take it too seriously. If you can't accept that, please click the X in the upper-right corner and leave. The author is fragile, so please don't attack me. Let's keep this a harmonious space and respect one another. Many thanks.
●○ Content warnings: Former title: Reborn: Has Ye Mu Been Eaten Yet?
This story has been extensively revised. It is expected to be an extremely long novel, part of a series (probably three volumes), all posted under the same story rather than in a separate work. Please read the reposts from after September; anything from before 2020 is an old version.
P.S. There may be a second installment, too.
The romance develops slowly, and the plot comes first. This is not a wish-fulfillment story, not a wish-fulfillment story, not a wish-fulfillment story (important things must be said three times).
Strictly speaking, the King of Hell's Writ isn't a golden finger; it's an auxiliary tool. Bing Shuo is the real powerhouse, and for a while he appears by Ye Mu's side as a spirit.
The protagonist's cheat isn't the kind that lets him slaughter his way through everything from the start. This is not a System story; it's serious fiction.
Volume Two: Around the middle of the plot, there will be a transmigration arc. The characters will return around the end of the volume or at the beginning of Volume Three.
It may be extremely melodramatic, so please read with that in mind. Thank you. ○●
Notice: Up through Chapter 33, the old chapters are currently being extensively revised, effectively resetting the word count to zero, for three reasons:
First, to avoid accidentally revising the wrong chapters when adding new, revised material. (Done)
Second, to keep track of the correct current total word count. (Done)
Third, I don't want to miss the best time to go premium later, and I need to wait until the story passes 30,000 words so I can apply for the rankings.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Chapters 1-33 (done)
Volume One: Soul Power Turns Evil, the Writ Commands the Strange
Ye Mu dies and comes back to life. Because of the King of Hell's Writ, he embarks on a journey of archaeology, tomb exploration, and tomb raiding.
To help Bing Shuo find his soul power, their archaeological expeditions and tomb-raiding journeys must continue.
A mysterious figure appears to stop them and steal Bing Shuo's soul power. To reclaim it before the mysterious figure can, their journey of archaeology and tomb raiding absolutely cannot end...
Who is the mysterious figure? Why are they stealing Bing Shuo's soul power? And why do they keep targeting Ye Mu and the others?
Ye Mu: It seems we have to keep exploring tombs if we're going to solve all the mysteries behind this.
Bing Shuo: Mm. I'll go with you.
Please note:
1. Updates every other day.
2. I'll try to update daily after the story goes premium.
3. I'm working hard to build up a backlog.
