After a Novelist Confesses to the Wrong Person, a Fox Spirit Won’t Leave Him Alone

Qiu Songshi, a well-known suspense web novelist, has been suffering from writer's block lately. After hearing his editor say:

"You've never been in love. How can you write danmei? Go fall in love!"

Qiu Songshi happens to run into the college senior he used to have a crush on. Remembering his editor's words, he resolves not to leave himself with regrets. After all, that senior was the first person he ever liked.

So he decides to confess to his senior. To his utter shock, he confesses to the wrong person and somehow signs a contract: becoming the personal assistant to Bai Junchen, a major star. What a bolt from the blue!

Bai (real) Jun (fox) Chen (immortal): "Since you've signed a pact (not the same as a contract) with me, you can't go back on it, or you'll have terrible luck." (He narrows his eyes and offers a friendly warning.)

Sure enough, Qiu Songshi refuses to believe in such nonsense, but after a day when everything goes wrong, he starts believing every word. He slinks back to Bai Junchen and says, "I'll be your personal assistant."

(And, while he's at it, he'll find a way to overcome his writer's block and look for a chance to confess to his senior for the Nth time.)

Good grief! The more adamantly he refused at first, the more he's eating his words now.

Bai Junchen seems to see through his plans and says, "You don't have a chance anymore." (Confess to me, ha!)

CP: A nine-tailed fox immortal top with four identities, who plays the pig to eat the tiger, is a smiling schemer, and can be downright bewitching, VS a cheerful, robust, down-to-earth, food-loving suspense novelist bottom
