Be Your Man

On the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the Fire Calendar, in the season when spring cherry blossoms burst into bloom, pink petals drifted everywhere, filling the air with happiness. Uzumaki Naruto, the first genin in Konoha's history to ascend to the Hokage's seat, finished the last mouthful of rich pork-bone ramen and patted his bulging belly with satisfaction. He wiped the grime from the corner of his mouth, straightened the gleaming silver Leaf forehead protector, and, full of energy, pushed open the door to the equipment room. He adjusted the microphone, made sure his voice would carry to every street and alley in Konoha, then cleared his throat, opened his bright blue eyes wide, and raised his voice, gripping the microphone with an air that demanded everyone's attention. He shouted:

"Attention, neighbors, uncles, brothers, jonin, chunin, and genin!

I, the Sixth Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, have successfully proposed to Haruno Sakura!"
