Remote-Controlled Detective Sweety...heart?

She wanted to stay by his side forever, keeping him company and encouraging him so he wouldn't be alone.

She knew how little power she had. She understood just how powerful the influence of the dead could be. She also knew why he rarely left the basement: he was punishing himself for failing to protect the person he loved.

He and she were complete opposites.

He was extraordinarily intelligent and calm under pressure. With a single phone call, he could easily solve baffling cases that left the whole First Investigation Division scratching their heads. He was strong yet gentle, fragile and sensitive.

Sayaki Kurumi, 21, had one lifelong ambition: to marry the person she loved, become a bride, and live a peaceful, simple life, happy as the heroine of a story.

But her life now was the opposite of her ideal. She carried a gun into dangerous crime scenes, sometimes catching serial killers, sometimes defusing timed bombs. Every time she made it out, covered in grime, she regretted not writing a will.

But she didn't resent it at all.

Though her life was different from her dream, Kurumi was still happy.

Because this was the only way she could stay by Himuro Kozaburo's side, forever and ever, as his right-hand woman.

Even if this was all she could have, she thought... she ought to be content.
