Nice to Meet You: Matt X Caroline X Tyler

At seventeen, her dream was simple: to spend her whole life with a man, build a warm and happy home, have a few children, and create an ordinary future together. When they turned seventy, she would tell him, "I'm honored to be your wife."

But she died at seventeen. Reborn in another body, she had become immortal, living on blood.

Her love remained, but nothing else could ever go back to the way it was.

She thought forgetting was the best ending. She wanted everyone who had loved her to think of her as a sad dream, so that when they woke, everything could be as it was before.

On his seventieth birthday, she returned to the old place and discovered that everyone she cared about had lived a hard life. Her mother had died, and Tyler's life had ended at nineteen.

She met him at seventy, at the place where Tyler lay at rest. She had once decided never to see him again, but on the day he was in his twilight years, she got the chance to speak her true feelings one more time.

She came to his side and held him in a moment of quiet, a moment Heaven had taken from them. On the day they both turned seventy, she finally realized that for fifty-three years, he had never stopped loving her.
