Special notes (please check these yourself to avoid surprises):

1. A serious-toned fanfiction. Pairing: original female character Elena × George Weasley. Do not place your bets on Sigmund for the romance. This is a family bond, absolutely, absolutely not a romantic one. (I'm spoiling my own story...) Since I've already spoiled this much, fine, I'll admit the second male lead is Draco Malfoy. Also, the male lead has very little presence.

2. Fred will not die, and his pairing is Angelina Johnson.

3. I generally won't break up canon pairings. Canon events may change depending on inspiration, and if the author can think of a way to save a character whose fate is a source of regret, they will be saved.

4. After repeated revisions, I can only try to avoid bashing canon characters. The effort to redeem them has gotten a little out of control. I'll try to rein it in.

5. The basic setup for this fanfiction was completed not long after all seven books in the main Harry Potter series had been released. Some details from Pottermore have been added, but details from the Fantastic Beasts films are unlikely to appear (and may even be contradicted).

8. The standard quotation marks " " and ' ' are not used in this story. Instead, "" and "" are used, according to the author's personal preference. This usage does not conform to current publishing standards in China for horizontal text. This note is included to keep readers from being misled by the author. Please don't use this style where publishing standards should be followed.

2017 update resumption notice:

As of November 5, 2017, Chapters 1-6 have been revised and reposted. All the old chapters have been replaced, so you can read without difficulty.
