I'm Your Ancestor

Blurb One: As a once-revered chief engineering expert, 7479 thinks things have been absolutely awful lately. Just awful. Entrusted with a mission by the Empire, she went into hibernation for a million years. When she awoke, she found that Earth had been taken over by her low-intelligence, two-legged cousins. The female lead has questionable values. She's cold-blooded, arrogant, sharp-tongued, and has no sense of chastity. Enter at your own risk. Note: This story takes place in the near future. There are no spaceships, mecha, or time jumps. For those who dropped the story in the first three chapters: if you think the female lead is useless, Chapter 6 will reveal her abilities. If you think she doesn't know what's good for her, look for the truth in Chapters 11 and 15. Paid chapters announcement Everything before Chapter 78 was previously available for free. If you've already read it, be careful not to buy it again. About the ending, I want to say this: I originally promised readers an extra chapter where Qi Jiu survives. But the more I thought about it, the more pointless it seemed. Even if she lived in the extra chapter, in theory she wouldn't last more than a few days, unless the female lead was willing to take out her brain and turn herself into an artificial intelligence. The Qi Jiu I imagine wouldn't do that. With only a brain and the rest of her body mechanical, life wouldn't be worth living. Qi Jiu is carefree, so I let her rest. If she could choose for herself, she would surely choose the same. If we judge the ending by life and death, then this story has a bad ending. But I think that, in terms of the heart, it's a happy ending. During her years in the new world, Qi Jiu experienced both being loved and loving someone. At the beginning of the story, she was extreme and full of resentment. By the end, she had found peace of mind. So I think this is a happy ending. As she said, she loved and hated in this life, and in the end let it all go. It was worth it. Theme: Better to die well than live miserably.
