(The Longest Day in Chang'an Fanfiction) I Searched for Him a Thousand Times in the Crowd. Then I Turned Around, and There He Was, Beneath the Fading Lights

This is an old story I wrote a long time ago. I came across it and decided to post it here for everyone to read. ...Back in the day, when the TV drama The Longest Day in Chang'an came out, we watched this wuxia series dressed up as a straight romance, but with a plot that seemed to veer toward BL at every turn, eyes shining. We stayed up all night searching the internet for fanfiction... In the end, I couldn't resist and wrote a story of my own. The setting and plot development here are almost exactly copied from the TV drama script. They say the original show drives fanfic writers to desperation, and damn, the two of you are flaunting your bromance so shamelessly it's blinding! And the background music, too! After Fu Hongxue fell off the cliff, Ye Kai climbed down to look for him, and you played the show's theme song, with the lyrics, “I'll take you to the ends of the earth, won't you come with me?” Then at the end, Fu Hongxue and Zhou Ting get together, and damn, the song you play is “Friends”! Could the production crew get any gayer?! End of rant. This story pairs Fu Hongxue x Ye Kai, with Ming Yuexin x Zhou Ting as the secondary couple. It has a happy ending, with everyone surviving and a perfect, heartwarming ending. Theme:
