The Dream of Xingli

...Across the boundless stars, the war between humanity and the insect race had raged for more than a hundred thousand years, with the insect race always holding the upper hand... So, tens of thousands of years ago, desperate to turn the tide, humanity launched its most devastating attack... Lan Suyue, the human race's Cosmic Emperor, used her life and soul as a seal, trapping herself and the insect race's supreme ruler on an unknown planet deep in space. From then on, they vanished without a trace and gradually faded into the dust of history... Tens of thousands of years later, a bloody massacre on the planet awakened them from their ancient slumber, allowing their legend, and... their love, to continue once more. ...Which matters more: the blood feud between their races, or their love for each other? ...Can the cold and brutal insect race truly be moved by the love of a human? "...I name you Ruo Xingli. You are as beautiful and dreamlike as the light of Xingli born from the great cosmic tide that comes once every three thousand years, a sight one can't tear oneself away from." And yet, just as impossible to reach. Lan Suyue smiled at Ruo Xingli, her eyes filled with a tenderness and sorrow the insect ruler could not understand. "...I want you to understand one thing, something you may never be able to understand..." "...The future is too uncertain. Perhaps the only thing we can hold on to is the present..." "...One day, you will return to the insect race and become its ruler once more... But for now, how about wandering through the human stars with me?" Top and bottom undecided, 1v1, definitely a happy ending. P.S. Don't be scared off by the blurb above. Liyue is a loving mom and won't make it too angsty, really.
