[Naruto] Izayoi

They met when they were three. Neither of them imagined that this was the beginning of a destiny that would entwine them.

When he was five, he graduated from the Ninja Academy and began his path as a prodigy.

When she was six, she caught up with his fast pace and earned the name of genius girl. That same year, he became a chunin, and the following year, she did too.

When they were twelve, they both became jonin. They had graduated from Konoha Ninja Academy at record-breaking ages: he was five and she was six. They became chunin at six and seven, respectively, making them the youngest jonin in all of Konoha to this day.

When they were fourteen, they fell in love. Though it was a troubled time of war, it did nothing to hinder their growing affection and happiness.

When they were eighteen, they broke up. Like any ordinary young couple, they couldn't hold on to their young, awkward, immature, unforgettable first love. Young love was awkward and beautiful, but it couldn't withstand the destruction wrought by reality.

That same year, she left Konoha alone and began traveling.

When she was twenty-six, she returned, bringing with her the impulsive consequence of their youthful passion. Sadly, eight years of traveling had made her already broken heart even more weathered. She wanted nothing more to do with him. She had only returned to her roots.

She said, "Kakashi, we broke up eight years ago."

He said, "I know. But aren't you single now?"
