Loving You Across Light-Years

Happiness is actually very simple. It takes no elaborate preparations or long prelude. Sometimes, all it takes is a city, a person, a single sentence, and suddenly the whole world feels complete.

Sitting quietly before the sea, Liuchuan would feel dazed, so dazed that he lost himself. Liuchuan didn't like the sea. He hated everything connected to water, yet his home stood by the shore. As Yingmu put it, he was born to make life difficult for himself, asking for trouble. Liuchuan admitted he was doing just that, but was anyone born that way? He lived by the sea because he wanted to experience the good in water, its softness. He just wanted more chances to get closer to a certain kind of thing, a certain kind of person.

Once he'd had his fill of the sea and tasted enough bitterness, he shut the door behind him and headed to the base. He couldn't abandon his mission; he still had to train. Only here could he forget his pain and immerse himself completely in one flight simulation after another, leaving Earth's gravity behind, surpassing the speed of light, seeing eternity in the moment time stood still, then silently returning to normal speed. He couldn't break the rules.
