Enchanting Yin

When Zhou Xiang was twelve, he found a fox by Jing Lake. The little fox was pure white from head to tail, pitiful and adorable, with a few flesh wounds. Zhou Xiang rarely felt compassion, but in a moment of impulse, he carried the little thing home. Unfortunately, he had a sharp tongue and no filter, and said something that offended the fox. As the saying goes, one mistake leads to another. It was only a few words, but the little fox glared at him every day, full of resentment. Zhou Xiang gave the little thing a name: Mei Yin. It was pretty tacky, but he liked it. Just as he liked the little thing, tending to it every day with more care than he showed his own father. Unfortunately, Mei Yin didn't appreciate it. One day, it found a chance to escape. Zhou Xiang felt defeated, and his gloom needs no elaboration. As for how he would find it again later, that's another story, so let's leave it for now.
