The Rogue Chancellor

A saying for success in life: You can't become a prime minister without being shameless.

Ten games of chess made him carelessly lose himself? ... No need for a blade, no need to start a fire, just make himself into a little man? ... This little man would rather be beaten than go along with what you like?

He was casual about it. After all: "A command from the prince is hard to refuse. The happiness of my heart for the rest of my life is still in the Third Prince's hands. For the sake of future riches and glory, it won't matter if you don't want to."

People are often at their most deserving of a kick when they are feeling pleased with themselves. But the meat that was already at his lips slipped away because of one careless remark: "It doesn't matter if you don't repay me. The Third Prince will settle the whole account, with interest, in the future."

And so the little man flew into a rage: "You're all bastards!"

A slap came down hard, and the bastard turned into a shooting star, whooshing away into the distance.
