The Heartbound Gu

When it came to love, he only knew how to take. He knew nothing of giving, and all he brought was hurt: "I don't care if you resent me, hate me, get mad at me, throw a fit, or even want to kill me. Just don't ever think you can leave my side in this lifetime!"

The person he unexpectedly saved was, unbeknownst to him, the greatest trial of his life.

The Heartbound Gu: the Gu worms share one heart. Any emotion felt by one person infected with them is conveyed to the other without reservation. They hurt together, laugh together, and cry together. If one of them dies, the other won't live more than three days. It was supposed to be an incurable curse, so why has it suddenly lost its power?

"You bastard! Who was it that said you'd keep me locked up for life, imprison me forever, and never let go even if I killed you?!" Once heaven's punishment begins, there is no turning back. Now that the supposedly incurable Gu has lost its power, there is no longer any connection between them. He never wanted to hold on to the other man, but only after letting him go did he realize that the other man had already taken hold of his heart.

The Heartbound Gu: two hearts as one. If they share one heart, then they should die together.

Even death cannot make them turn back.
