That year, Song Yufeng, the leader of the Tai Xu Temple, betrayed them. The Ancient Bronze Gate was breached, and demons flooded the mortal world.
That year, disciples from the Eight Great Sects rushed into battle. Countless fell, and the rivers ran red with blood.
That year, Yu Jizi, the Tai Xu Temple's martial uncle, betrayed them and seized the Central Plains temple, leaving the Tai Xu disciples with nowhere to go.
That year, the Tai Xu Temple was forced to relocate far away, but chose a new site in front of the Ancient Bronze Gate to prove that the entire sect was determined to fight the enemy.
That year brought birth, old age, sickness, death, meeting those we resent, parting from those we love, and longing for what we cannot have.
This can be read as a standalone story, or as a full-length extra for another work, Against the Current.
A note: the Central Plains map mentioned in the story is the one from before the April update, so don't expect it to match the current one~
