Heaven’s Tears

He is a demon of the earthly realm and king of the fox clan. Gods and demons cannot walk the same path, yet he sought out the ruler of the Three Realms. He teased him, toyed with him, tormented him, loved him, and in the end... hurt him...

He is the ruler of the divine realm and the foremost of the Three Realms. When he met this demon of the earthly realm, he grew angry, furious, and resentful, then loved him, and in the end... was hurt by him...

"From the very beginning, I never had feelings for you. I approached you only to see whether you, the Celestial Emperor, would truly obey the heavenly laws you laid down for yourself."

Foxes... the most cunning of all spirits, masters of disguise and manipulation, willing to do anything to achieve their aims.

"You hate me because of Jiuwei. And I am the Celestial Emperor. No matter how much I love you, I cannot betray all living beings for your sake. But there is another way I can use to bring Jiuwei back to life..."

It turned out a god's obsession was far stronger than a demon's. If he hadn't reduced Jiuwei to ashes back then, would he still hate him so much now...

"Mocang, if I bring Jiuwei back to life, will you... forgive me?"
